Well this is my new space on the web… took me about 6 hours to install wordpress, import all of my old blog posts, find the theme that I was using before, and get everything working right. I am going to change the banner hopefully in a couple of days to an idea i’ve got. Other than that I am pretty pleased. I dropped the name plato’s cave completely, no real reason for doing this. I think i’ll add a page explaining it’s importance at some point. I also have to find a way to implement google analytics and change my rss feed to the feedburner one i’ve set up(done!). This will allow me to track whose looking at my site, something which is not provided when you leave wordpress.com. Also I had about 20 people reading my blog through their newsfeeds, I’d rather not lose them all. I left a note on platoscave.wordpress to let anyone know that i’ve moved. Yet since this blog is 99% for my own amusement i’m not completely worried. There’s alot of new things which I can do now that I couldn’t before. Namely add html like the “top artists” widget and the twitter widget. I can also add my other projects to the site, like school of thought, and this is important. That’s all for now, must get sleep.
